Purpose of Practicum
The main purpose of teaching practicum for student teacher are to give experience for student teacher how to teach in a real class, what do they need before teaching in class, what are the learning source and provide field for student teacher to enrich their experience and developing their teaching skill. Because it is not enough if we just read about how to teach or about teaching method without practicing it. We need the real media so we can understand all the things related with teaching, including how to know student’s characteristic, behavior, how to catch their attention and how to evaluate them.

Procedure of Practicum
Before starting teaching, student teacher observe what kind of class that they will handle, what kind of strategy that they will use and define the topic that they will teach. After knowing that, the student teacher will make lesson plan to prepare the goals of the topic, preparing duration, and strategy that they will use. And giving reflection at the end.
After teaching, student teacher will evaluate students by giving short quiz or asking the students to know how far did the students following the class.
Outcomes of Practicum
After practice teaching, the student teachers become more trained in teaching, we become more know about how teach, how handle the class with various different characteristic of students, how to catch student’s attention in class and how to make students understand of what we’re talking about in class. We will not able to know all of that just by reading teaching book, because sometimes what we read are quite different with what happen in a real class.
The Challenge of Practicum
The challenge of practicum is because I have to teach in outside of my major. My major is Physics education, and I have to teach biology in grade-7. Even physics and biology are both science but they have totally different content and both of need different way to be taught. But it is not become the obstacle in this practicum, I make it as challenge to develop my teaching skill to prepare myself to face what kind of subject that I have to handle on my next career.
Overall Impression
Starting from my trip to Philippines, teaching in Philippines, tour around Philippines impress me all the time. I’ve never imagine before that I will have opportunity to be part of this SEA-Teacher batch 6. I’m an international class program of physics education student, which is make me have to teach in English, but in my city its very rare to find school that have to teach in English. So it make me difficult to develop my teaching skill. But by joining this program, I really have a big opportunity to develop my teaching skill, knowing the real characteristic of students, how to handle the class, how to manage the class so all of students get the same chance to hear or pay attention to teacher, and what we need before teaching. I can’t know all of them without practice.
Another impression during become ISAT U student teacher is the way we respect each other, the way student greet the teacher, the way every member of school participate in every activities and the way the treat their student teacher. We don't feel like a new member in here. We feel like we’re all same, we’re family of ISAT University.

Suggestion for Future Improvement
For the next batch of SEA-Teacher, we hope you to be able to teach in English because Philippines students are good in English. Or even you’re not in Philippine the only language that you have to use is English as your communication language. Prepare your self for every topic that related to your major because you have to following the topic that they’re studying. And keep practice!!!
For SEAMEO, I think its better if we make the same schedule of departure for all student teacher, so they have friend to go with, because based on my experience when I go alone and my flight canceled on my way, I feel so scared for being alone in the airport and I can’t sleep for 2 days because I was afraid about my bag.
